About me:

My name is Hannah, I am 16 years old as of 2013. I am the owner and operater of Fantasia mountain Rabbitry. We live up in the mountains near Columbia falls MT, which is near Glacier National Park.
Our first rabbit was a Californian which we got from a local breeder, after that you can say we caught "the Bunny fever" :)
In early Spring of 2010 we went to a local ARBA show just to see everything, and seeing the Netherland Dwarfs there showing, I knew I definitely wanted the breed. My Dad that works in Ohio came out for vacation and brought me our my first start of my Netherland Dwarf herd from the states back east, I was so excited to have my first start but like all breeders first starting, I didnt know what I wanted and what to look for in the breed. After a year of researching and slowly learning more about the breed, I saw I had a lot of broodies and wanted to start getting serious to compete in shows so I slowly replaced my first rabbits with more nicer quality ones to start breeding for show.
I am now a member of ANDRC and ARBA, and raise pedigreed Netherland Dwarfs. And Holland Lops being my newest breed since mid 2012. In my Netherlands my BEW's are my favorite and always have been and always will be. So they are my main color. Ive owned all the colors before in the Netherland dwarfs but with my limited amount of cage space, I only kept my favorites to work with which is the BEW, Oranges, and Martens/Otters.. In my Hollands I'm working with mostly just Brokens and Torts. Quality to me is way more important then quantity. I am always working to improve my herd and keeping it small.. I am very happy with where I am now with the quality of my bunnies since when I first started and always looking for that 'better' kit from the nestbox. I was very happy to have grand championed two of my home bred rabbits in 2011 and winning a Youth BOB, Youth BOSB, and Open BOSB with them.
I feed Pfaus feed, and Grass/Alfalfa mix hay daily. In the Summer/Spring, I let each and everyone of my Bunnies out in the excersize pen almost daily except for the teeny babies (so they don't escape). My bunnies are a great joy in my life, and I treat each and everyone of them as my pets. In the cold months, I keep my expecting mothers indoors a few days till they are due to kindle, and they stay indoors till the babies are weaned, and ready to be by themself (I do still keep the babies indoors). We have much fun playing with the babies in our extra time. I handle all the babies almost daily so they are social so when they are ready for their new home, they are used to being handled and used to Human contact.
